Two producers decided to work intensively in five selected
villages of Petlad and Mehmadabad taluka of Kheda district. They worked
closely with the youth in these villages and helped them organise development
activities in the form of camps, workshops and actual field activity.
The youth was made to interact with the various extension agencies of
the government leading to a more effective implementation of the existing
government programmes and the participation of the people in these. Programmes
were produced based on the activities undertaken by the villagers and
the extension agencies.
This was a successful demonstration of the joint working
of the media with the extension agencies for successful implementation
of development programmes and the active participation of the people and
the spreading of this message on a mass scale.
