ANNOUNCEMENT OF OPPORTUNITY AT NMRF | |||
|
The
National MST Radar Facility ( NMRF ) is established at Gadanki near
Tirupati under a multi-agency funded project with the primary objective
to study the dynamics and related phenomena in the troposphere, middle
atmosphere and the ionosphere. The facility is made available from November,
1993 for scientific utilisation by interested groups / individual scientists
from national laboratories / institutions and universities.

REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS | |||
|
Proposals
for scientific utilisation of MST Radar are solicited from scientists
pursuing research in lower , middle and upper atmosphere phenomena and
related topics as per the proposal preparation format . Priority would
be assigned to proposals containing new ideas of research not so far
conducted elsewhere.

REQUIREMENT OF PROPOSAL SUBMISSION | |||
| Four
copies of the proposal should be addressed to
Director, National MST Radar Facility ( NMRF ) , P B No : 123 , Tirupati - 517502 . e-mail id: nmrf@isro.org and
one copy for information to

|
Proposal
can be submitted at any time of the year . In addition proposals could
be submitted against special announcements made from time to time covering
period of specific coordinated observations , special intervals, etc
.

ACCEPTANCE OF THE PROPOSALS | |||
|
The
Principal Investigators will be intimated about the acceptance or otherwise
of their proposals within three months of the receipt, indicating the
schedules of the experiment .

REQUEST FOR FINANCIAL SUPPORT | |||
| The
investigators of university affliation can get limited travel support
for conducting the experiments . In this regard , they are requested to
write to : Coordinator , UGC - SV University centre for MST Radar application , Physics Department , Sri Venkateswara University , Tirupati - 517502 .e-mail id:profdnrao2001@yahoo.com |

| The application for travel support should reach the Coordinator atleast one month in advancewith a copy to Director, NMRF. UGC - SVU centre also provides data processing support and other facilities to university scientists . | ||||

AVAILABILITY OF ACCOMODATION | |||
| NMRF
has limited Guest House facilities at Tirupati and Gadanki to meet the
requirements of the experimenters on payment basis . Request for accomodation and logistic support can be sent to : Director , NMRF / Administrative Officer , NMRF . |

| For
university scientists UGC - SVU center can also provide accomodation at
S V University Guest House , Tirupati . Request for the same may be sent to the Coordinator , UGC - SVU Center at the above address . |
