Lower Atmospheric Wind Profiler { LAWP } | |
|
The
LAWP is useful for the studies in the boundary layer which falls in
the near field region of the MST Radar and hence not covered effectively
by MST Radar . With the addition of LAWP system the lower atmospheric
studies in the height range of
300 m to 4 km can be carried out effectively. |

The LAWP is an ideal tool for precipitation studies
. Convective and Stratiform type of precipitation , can be identified
and drop size distribution at various height levels can be determined.
