Vice President Visits ISRO | |

The Vice President of India, Mr Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, visited ISRO Satellite Centre this afternoon (19th April 2003). He was accompanied by the Governor of Karnataka, Mr T N Chaturvedi.
Dr K Kasturirangan, Chairman, ISRO welcomed the dignitaries and briefed them on the Indian Space Programme. The Vice President and the Governor evinced keen interest in the Indian Space Programme, especially its technological achievements and their applications. The dignitaries were shown the various facilities including Spacecraft Integration Laboratory. Also, they saw the Space Exhibition before departing from the centre. |
