Prof U R Rao, well known space scientist and former Chairman of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), has been elected as Fellow of the prestigious World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS). Located in San Franscisco, USA, WAAS is the only outstanding Academy having a worldwide network of Fellows from diverse culture, nationalities and intellectual disciplines. Fellows of the Academy are elected on the basis of their wide interdisciplinary interest, record of public service and global perspective, in addition to outstanding and creative accomplishment in their own discipline and profession.
