President Dedicates Second Launch Pad(SLP) to the Nation

His Excellency Hon'ble President of India, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam arrived at Satish Dhawan Space Centre SHAR, Sriharikota this evening at 1800 hrs by a helicopter.

He was received by Sri G. Madhavan Nair, Chairman ISRO at the helipad.

Other dignitaries at helipad include Sri Susheelkumar Shinde, Hon'ble Governor of Andhra Pradesh, Smt. P. Lakshmi, Union Minister of State for Health, and Smt. N. Rajyalakshmi, Minister of A.P. for School Education.

The President visited the Second Launch Pad area, and had a glimpse of the PSLV-C6 launch vehicle' which is scheduled for launch tomorrow morning.

Later, he dedicated the Second Launch Pad to the Nation, in a simple ceremony organised at the Vehicle Assembly Building.
