The President of India, in her capacity as Visitor of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi is conferring the Degree of Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa) upon Prof U R Rao, former Chairman, ISRO and presently Chairman of the Council of Physical Research Laboratory of the Department of Space.

Prof Rao will receive this highest honour of the Indian Institute of Technology during the Convocation to be held on August 11, 2007.
