Regional Remote Sensing Service Centres are well equiped to carry out projects of varying scales (National to Locale specific needs). State-of-the-art facilities are available for processing Remote Sensing data using digital techniques. Workstations configured under Distributed computing environment are available at all RRSSCs catering to various user requirements. RRSSCs comprise of necessary hardware and peripherals to cater to all kinds of remote sensing projects requirements. User friendly Digital Image Processing and Geographic Information System software packages are available on these workstations for carrying out application projects.
Hardware configuration is supported with
various types of input / output devices to enable users to download and backup
in any desired media. Also software support is provided to import/export
both raster and vector in any user desired formats.

The Centres are also
provided with Multimedia tools for training, demonstration and seminar
purposes.

Visual Intrepretation:

The RRSSCs also cater to
visual interpretation of remote sensing data. All necessary
interpretation equipments are available for carrying out field experiments and
sample data collection to suppliment remote sensing data.
